Abstract: A new trimeric triradical gallium catecholate based on redox-active 3,6-di-2-pyridyl[1,2,4,5]tetrazine was synthesized. The prepared complex forms a metallocyclic triangle containing three tetrazine-type ligands in the radical-anion state. This compound represents the first example of such a system utilizing a non-transition metal as a complexing agent. This allowed for the study of exchange interactions between the paramagnetic fragments of tetrazine in the synthesized compound without the participation of a metal center.
